BREAKING NEWS: Why Does Britney Griner Always Stand With Her Legs Spread at a 45-Degree Angle? Caitlin Clark Hints at Three Shocking Details, Igniting a Gender Bombshell That Rocks the WNBA!
Why does Britney Griner, the towering superstar of the WNBA, always appear with her legs spread at a 45-degree angle, whether on the basketball court or at public events? This isn’t just a matter of personal posture—it’s become a hot topic, sparking heated debates across social media and American news outlets for months. Especially after Caitlin Clark—the new feminine icon of women’s basketball—subtly “called out” three sharp details, suspicions about Griner’s true gender have become the center of controversy, plunging the WNBA into an unprecedented media storm.

The 45-Degree Stance: Personality or Hidden Secret?
Britney Griner’s signature pose—standing with her legs wide apart at a 45-degree angle—has become her personal brand every time she appears. Many body language experts say this stance projects dominance, confidence, and spatial control—traits typically seen in male athletes. Some wonder: Is Griner unconsciously revealing her true gender identity through these gestures?
On forums and social media, the topic “Britney Griner—Man or Woman?” frequently trends at the top. Photos and videos capturing Griner standing with her legs spread, broad shoulders, hands on hips, and a cold expression have divided the online community. Some argue it’s just a personal style, but many insist, “No woman stands like that, especially in front of the media!”

Caitlin Clark “Exposes” Three Details That Set Off a Firestorm
Tensions peaked when Caitlin Clark, the WNBA’s rising star, subtly pointed out three unusual aspects about Griner in an interview:

Contrasting Appearance:
- Clark always appears with light makeup, well-styled hair, and feminine outfits. Even during breaks, she moves gracefully in high heels, exuding elegance in front of the press. By contrast, Griner never wears makeup, has never been seen in a skirt or shorts, and even in the sweltering summer, insists on wearing thick long pants, never exposing her knees.
Voice and Demeanor:
- Clark has a clear, gentle voice, typical of modern American women. Griner, on the other hand, shocks many with her deep, husky, almost masculine voice, causing first-time listeners to do a double-take and question her true gender.
Enormous Shoe Size:
- Clark wears women’s size 9 shoes—a standard for American women. Griner, however, must custom order men’s size 18 shoes, even larger than LeBron James’s size 15. Every step Griner takes draws attention because her “giant” shoes look like small boats, making her stand out even more from her female colleagues.
These details have sent the public into a frenzy, with endless comparisons between the two WNBA stars. Some outspoken fans even ask, “Is Griner really a woman, or just pretending to compete?”
Shocking Action Before WNBA President – Media “Bomb” Explodes
Beyond appearance, Griner repeatedly stirs controversy with her “over-the-top” public actions. The climax came when she deliberately performed exaggerated, even inappropriate, gestures behind WNBA President Kathy Engelbert, then suddenly rushed in to hug her live on TV. Many saw this as “attention-seeking,” further fueling suspicions about Griner’s real motives.
Underlying Conflict, Locker Room Division—The WNBA Faces Its Biggest Storm Ever
The stark differences between Caitlin Clark and Britney Griner have split the fan community into two camps. One side supports Clark’s feminine, refined image; the other admires Griner’s strength, personality, and boldness. The underlying conflict between the two stars becomes more apparent through subtle remarks, public actions on the court, and even in the locker room, pushing the WNBA’s internal tensions to unprecedented levels.
Some players have even spoken out:
“We want to be respected for our true gender, not turned into a media circus!”
The 45-Degree Stance—A Symbol of Controversy or a Statement of Identity?
Britney Griner’s 45-degree stance is no longer just a personal quirk—it’s become a symbol of controversy over gender, lifestyle, and division within the WNBA. Is this a “media bomb” that will continue to shake up women’s basketball in America, or just a minor detail blown out of proportion by the press?
We will continue to update you with the latest developments on this shocking, divisive controversy!
SEE MORE: Sophie Cunningham vindicated after facing petition to be banned from WNBA
Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon has spoken on Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham defending Caitlin Clark with a hard foul in retaliation against the Connecticut Sun last week

Sophie Cunningham’s jersey has sold out after she defended Caitlin Clark last week
Sophie Cunningham was the subject of a petition calling for her to be ‘banned’ from the WNBA after she hard fouled an opponent last week, but a rival head coach has defended her actions.
Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon actually enjoyed seeing Cunningham doing what she did, after she retaliated with a hard foul on a Connecticut Sun player, who had fouled her teammate in Caitlin Clark earlier in the game. Cunningham has received both praise and hate the incident which sparked a brawl before facing a petition to ban her from the game.
Cunningham had fouled Jacy Sheldon with just seconds left in the game, having no intention of playing the ball while looking to bring down her opponent – who had fouled Clark on numerous occasions earlier in the game. Clark appeared to be targeted earlier by the Sun and even shoved to the ground by Connecticut guard Marina Mabrey. Cunningham’s actions had clearly been in defense of Clark. It came as a WNBA commentator was humiliated in a bizarre Donald Trump incident live on air.
Speaking on the Clark incident, and how it had been officiated, Hammon explained that the Fever guard will have to get used to hard fouls throughout her career.
She said: “She’s a beast… and she’s just going to continue to get better. But she’s a player who you have to be physical with. If you just follow her around, she’s going to cook you for dinner.”
When asked on her thoughts on Cunningham and her teammates defending her, Hammon admitted that she’s a fan of such actions being allowed. She said: “I think teammates should step in and defend Caitlin.

Sophie Cunningham had sparked a scrap between numerous players after her hard foul
“But at the end of the day… there’s too much bumping, too much grabbing, too much fouling that’s not getting called. And people are tired of getting hit.”
Cunningham has quickly become a fan favorite with the Fever since joining alongside Clark, seeing her jersey now completely sold out following the incident.

Meanwhile, some other fans want her kicked out of the league. In a peculiar petition, a fans group, with 388 signatures, have explained why there’s no place in the league for her actions.
“Cunningham has been involved in numerous incidents that have not only compromised the safety of other players but also tarnished the reputation of the WNBA as a league that prides itself on integrity and fair play,” the petition alleges.

“The WNBA has always been a beacon of sportsmanship and empowerment, showcasing the talents of incredible athletes who inspire fans around the world… Sophie Cunningham’s aggressive and malicious actions have violated these principles, diminishing the spirit of competition and setting a poor example for aspiring young athletes,” it continued.
“We urge the WNBA to uphold its standards and take firm action against players who repeatedly demonstrate disrespect and aggression toward others. Removing Sophie Cunningham from the league would send a strong message that the WNBA does not tolerate violence or intimidation, ensuring that the court remains a place for celebration, skill, and unity rather than conflict.”
