The officer’s vehicle collided with the girls’ car, instantly taking both of their lives and severely injuring Maggie’s brother, who miraculously survived.

The heartbreaking accident occurred just blocks from the Addis Police Department. The officer responsible later pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter and one count of negligent injury, resulting in a prison sentence.
