Bill Maher takes swipe at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship in brutal TV takedown
Bill Maher took a brutal swing at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance this week as he mentioned the pop star’s relationship history.
On the March 7 edition of his show Real Time, Maher was discussing the beginning of President Trump’s time in office when he turned his attention to Swift.
‘The world is upside down,’ he said. ‘It only took Trump weeks to break up with Ukraine, Mexico, and Canada, but Taylor Swift has had the same boyfriend for over a year.’
While he did not mention Kelce by name, Maher was of course referring to the Chiefs tight end.
He and Swift have been dating since the summer of 2023, meaning the couple is actually closing in on two years together.
Previously, Swift’s longest relationship was with British actor Joe Alwyn, as the pair spent nearly six years together before splitting in April 2023.

However, as Maher referenced, the singer has had many short flings throughout the years.
Swift has dated the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Taylor Lautner, and also spent a little over a year with DJ and producer Calvin Harris.
Her last known romance before she started dating Kelce was with The 1975 singer Matty Healy, whom she saw from May to June 2023.
However, Swift and Kelce are now going strong, and there have been suggestions that the couple – both 35 years old – are on the road to marriage.
Page Six previously reported that the Chief’s star’s family would ‘love’ for him to propose to Taylor as they believe she’s a ‘perfect fit’ for him.
An insider was quoted as saying that the Kelce clan – consisting of Travis’ mom Donna, dad Ed, brother Jason and sister-in-law Kylie – all ‘adore’ Swift and hope to see them ‘spend the rest of their lives together.’
‘They’ve never seen Travis so happy with a girlfriend before,’ the source reportedly said about Kelce’s family.
‘[His] family gets along great with Taylor’s family too,’ the insider continued. ‘Their families blend seamlessly.’
Fans of Swift also became convinced earlier this year that she was already engaged to Kelce after she greeted him on the field following Kansas City’s AFC Championship Game win.
Swift wore gloves onto the field after the win, and one TikTok user theorized that she did so to hide a ride on her finger.
