The earthquake is spreading across the American football world. After the Kansas City Chiefs shocked the world by announcing that they would not participate in “Pride Night” events next season, the Pittsburgh Steelers – one of the NFL’s oldest and most beloved teams – have officially joined the fight.

Following Chiefs, Steelers Also Announce Boycott of Pride Nights: “It's Purely Woke and Satanic”

The reason? No longer diplomatic words, but a harsh, direct, and uncompromising statement:

“Pride Night is the embodiment of blind awakening and a symbol of the forces of darkness.”

For years, NFL teams have held “Pride Night” events to support the LGBTQ+ community — with rainbow flags flying over stadiums, colorful LED screens, and even limited-edition Pride-colored jerseys.

However, many players and fans increasingly feel that it is a “must-have” rather than a personal choice.

After the Chiefs – Travis Kelce’s team (who is facing criticism for his relationship with Taylor Swift and left-leaning comments), it’s the Steelers’ turn – a team steeped in blue-collar culture and old-school traditions – to say NO to “Pride.”

In a leaked private meeting, a Steelers board member told local media:

“We respect everyone, but we do not support using the football field to promote political ideology or ‘woke’ culture. Pride Night is no longer about respect – it is a forced ritual.”

Another recording circulating on social media is even more shocking:

“Pride is no longer about the rainbow – it is something that is luring young people into deviant ideology. It has become a symbol of anti-traditionalism, even of… Satan!”

As soon as the news broke, social media exploded: Steelers supporters cheered: “Finally, a team that stands up for truth!” “No one is against who loves who, but don’t make us worship that.” “The Steelers are original football—not a political theater.”

LGBTQ+ groups and the media were furious: “The Steelers have shown a racist, homophobic ideology.” “They are legitimizing hate with a moralistic slogan.” “What a shame for a team that was once so beloved.”

A source from the NFL’s New York office said: The board of directors is holding an emergency meeting to discuss how to handle the “anti-Pride” teams. Some of the NFL’s major sponsors, such as Nike and Bud Light, have threatened to pull out if “many teams refuse to commit to gender diversity.” If the trend spreads, the NFL could enter a cultural civil war, unprecedented in the league’s modern history.

What made the Steelers’ statement so explosive was that they not only said “no” to Pride Night, but also directly linked it to the cult. On a conservative podcast called “Sunday Steel Truth,” a former Steelers player said, “If you look deeper, a lot of the ‘Pride’ events today use the baphomet symbol, the inverted pentagram, and anti-Christ messages. They’re not just about loving freedom, they’re going much further.”

Soon after, videos from Pride parades featuring dancers dressed as demons, or wearing bright black and red, went viral on TikTok with the title: “Is this what you stand for?”

Fox News: “The Steelers are the first team to call this what it is: a cultural invasion.” Daily Wire: “Bravo, Steelers! The NFL should be about sports, not gender politics.” CNN: “Steelers’ U-turn is a terrifying step backward for human rights.” NBC Sports: “The NFL faces a dilemma: keep fans or maintain a progressive image?”

Will more teams “turn the tables” in the coming weeks? Will the NFL punish or stay silent in the face of this wave of protest? Will football—the sport that once united Americans—become as culturally divided as society itself?

The Kansas City Chiefs started the fire. The Pittsburgh Steelers now fan the flames.

No one can dodge the question: Is the stadium a place for cultural protest? One side says, “It’s love.” The other says, “It’s manipulation and abuse of symbols.” And the NFL—America’s theater—is on the brink of the most profound cultural battle of the digital age.
