Megyn Kelly Faces Backlash for Mocking Jill Biden’s ‘Dr.’ Title
Megyn Kelly, a prominent conservative media personality, has come under fire after making disparaging remarks about First Lady Jill Biden’s use of the title “Dr.” During a recent segment on her show, Kelly questioned the relevance of Biden’s doctorate in education, suggesting it was unworthy of the title.

“Stop calling her Dr. Jill Biden,” Kelly said, adding that the title was “pretentious” since Biden is not a medical doctor. The comment quickly sparked controversy online, with critics accusing Kelly of disrespecting Biden’s academic achievements and undermining the value of non-medical doctorates.

Jill Biden holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree, earned in 2007, and has been a longtime advocate for education reform and community colleges. Her supporters argue that her title is well-deserved and symbolizes her professional accomplishments.

Social media users were quick to call out Kelly for what they saw as an unnecessary personal attack. “Megyn Kelly belittling someone’s hard work and dedication speaks more about her insecurities than Dr. Biden’s credentials,” one commenter wrote. Others pointed out that many public figures with similar academic backgrounds use the title without controversy.
