In a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45, rapper Lefty Gunplay, who has recently collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on the track “TV Off” from Lamar’s album GNX which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, expressed his admiration for Eminem, naming him among his top three favorite artists.
“I love Eminem. You heard my Superman freestyle? I gotta do Till I Collapse too. No, Like Toy Soldiers. I’ve been writing to that beat every single day. I write to every Eminem beat. Top 3 gotta be Eminem. 50 Cent was hard too. 50 Cent, The Game, Eminem, I like Pac, I like Nip, I like YG.” said Lefty Gunplay.
Then he continued: “I’m pretty sure Eminem has heard of who I am because I give him nothing but his respect every single time I got the chance to. That’d be a dream come true. I like that old school Eminem. The first Eminem when he’s getting it off his chest, the first vibes. That’s how I feel like I’m going to. Eventually, I wanna transition into longevity Eminem.”
