Kat Timpf is taking a brief break from Fox News‘ Gutfeld! as she prepares to undergo another surgery related to her breast cancer treatment.

The 36-year-old co-host candidly announced the news during a recent episode of the show before also uploading a snippet to her Instagram page.

Timpf explained that the upcoming procedure is part of her recovery process following a double mastectomy – explaining that her absence would last a couple of weeks.

‘The best case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again, so this is the first step in that,’ she shared.

She also added, ‘Just so the internet can’t come up with theories about where I am, that’s where I am.’

Giving further insight in the caption of her social media post, she wrote in the caption: ‘I’ll be back on Gutfeld! in a few weeks!

‘Huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to offer me words of kindness and support. I love you all so much.’

And Kat’s post was quickly flooded with messages of support – including from fellow famous faces.

In March, it was revealed that Kat had undergone a double mastectomy for breast cancer after receiving the shock diagnosis while pregnant.

She was told she had stage zero breast cancer just one day before going into labor with her first child.

At the time, Timpf shared a post-surgery update to let fans know she was doing well.

She shared an image from a hospital bed of her legs covered by a gown with an animated ‘censored’ illustration over her feet.

In the caption, she made a joke about how much her breast size had been reduced.

‘Post-op! They’re honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant,’ Timpf wrote said.

Timf has been open about her unconventional journey to parenthood as she navigated the first few weeks of her son’s life while reeling from the cancer diagnosis.

But she has also been forced to defend herself online in recent weeks after trolls urged her to stop speaking about her shock cancer battle.

Set against a black backdrop, the TV personality shared a snapshot to her Instagram story of a comment that read: ‘Sorry Kat, but you are not all that and a bag of chip.

‘I am REALLY HAPPY that you kicked cancer’s butt and that you are a mom. However, using it all the time is getting very old.

‘Other people have gone through the very same thing and are very humble. Don’t be so egocentric.’

Mom-of-one Kat was quick to share her own thoughts on the note, issuing a scathing response that read: ‘PSA: I will likely talk about this for the rest of my life as that is how long it will affect me. Making jokes heals me and I won’t stop doing it.
