Rico Nasty talks Eminem influence in a new interview on UPPROXX
Rico Nasty stopped by for an episode of UPROXX’s Sound Check hosted by Jeremy Hecht. They gave her some difficult decisions to make based on her music taste, including Eminem and Slim Shady.
“I love ‘Stan.’ He was hot as f–k back in the day. I remember seeing that and be like ‘I want a crazy man, crazy white boy, blonde hair.” said Rico Nasty before she was asked to choose between “Mockigbird” and “The Real Slim Shady.”
“I’m gonna go with ‘Mockingbird.’ Because, bro, anybody watching this, if you parents were divorced twice…laughing at the trauma… When this album [Encore] came out, I remember feeling a lot of emotions and not understanding what they were. As far as missing my dad not being in the house. I love that song. It used to make me cry. I used to put in my iPod Nano and I listened to it and be like ‘I miss my dad.’” Rico Nasty replied.
